Summary
Vercel Connect is now generally available on all plans and in v0. It replaces stored long-lived provider secrets with short-lived, scoped tokens requested at runtime.
Key facts
- Vercel Connect reached general availability on all plans and in v0.
- Deployments authenticate using their existing Vercel OIDC identity.
- Tokens are short-lived, scoped to the task, and refreshed automatically.
Why it matters
Teams building on Vercel can drop long-lived provider secrets from their deployments and rely on runtime tokens scoped per task, reducing what a leaked credential could expose.
