Crest of Tech measures public signals (stars, downloads, releases, news coverage) and shows them as measured, following the rules on the methodology page. Sources can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a measurement is not a recommendation. Do not rely on the site alone for investment, hiring, security or purchasing decisions.

The data comes from public services including GitHub, npm, PyPI, crates.io, Maven Central, NuGet, RubyGems, Packagist, the Go module proxy, Hugging Face and technology publishers. Crest of Tech is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. Project, product and company names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

We do not republish articles. For each article we show its title, source, author, date and a short excerpt, with a link to the original; summaries are our own text about the event. Publishers who want their content described differently or removed can write to us and we will act on it promptly.

• You may read, link to and quote the site, with attribution to Crest of Tech and a link to the page.
• Automated access must respect the published rate limits. Bulk copying of the catalog, or reselling it, needs our written permission.
• Do not try to disrupt the service, get around its limits or reach parts of it not meant to be public.

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties, and may change or pause at any time. To the extent the law allows, Crest of Tech is not liable for losses arising from use of the site or its data.
